Don Computing provides hydrogen engineering support for Australian organisations developing clean-energy projects, fuel-cell applications and renewable-energy systems. Our capability combines chemical engineering, CFD, process modelling, automation and technical training.
Applications
- PEM fuel-cell and electrolyser system analysis
- Hydrogen process modelling and mass-energy balances
- Thermal management, fluid-flow and CFD studies
- Renewable electricity, solar and storage integration concepts
- Control, monitoring and digital-twin strategies
- Technical reviews, feasibility support and workforce training
Training and technical capability
Don Computing also develops engineering training in PEM fuel cells, solar technology, process systems and simulation. Programs can be adapted for industry teams, universities and project partners.
Process
Support can cover early feasibility, equipment selection, system architecture, modelling, pilot planning and performance evaluation. Simulation can reduce uncertainty before prototype or capital decisions and can help communicate expected system behaviour to technical and commercial stakeholders.
Safety and performance review
Hydrogen projects require careful consideration of containment, ventilation, materials, pressure systems, operating envelopes and applicable standards. We help clients define technical questions, identify engineering interfaces and structure evidence for further design, testing and assurance.
Required inputs
Provide the intended application, system diagram, equipment information, operating pressures and temperatures, target duty, energy supply assumptions and available test data. Identify the project stage and the decisions the study must support.
Deliverables
Agreed outputs may include modelling assumptions, mass and energy balances, scenario comparisons, thermal or flow results, a technical issues register and recommendations for further testing. Detailed design, independent certification and regulatory approval are separate requirements and must be explicitly scoped with appropriately qualified parties.
FAQs
Can you help at an early concept stage?
An initial study can clarify system boundaries, assumptions, data gaps and modelling priorities before a larger design or demonstration programme.
Can simulation replace physical testing?
Simulation supports design and test planning. The required validation and assurance depend on the specific system and its intended use; modelling alone does not certify a system as safe.
How are cost and timing established?
We review the brief, required analyses, available information and review stages before proposing scope, deliverables and milestones.
